Welcome to a first here at AP, ladies and gentlemen! Today it's my pleasure to release American Pyramid's first ever interview with a head coach. And not just any head coach, but Michael Sesar of AFC Cleveland, who won the NPSL Championship last year. He's got some great things to say and spends some time answering questions from you, the readers. Check it out. You're going to notice changes in the AP National Rankings. As more teams in the NPSL kick off, and some UPSL conferences wind down, teams are going to start being moved to the Master List for the AP End of Year National Rankings.
Also, to make sure teams are being spotlighted for good performances, you will start seeing teams that have been in the standings for awhile lose their spot to a newcomer. As we get deeper into the season, the number of teams in the Rankings from any one division will begin to drop as more teams start playing. This will ensure more teams get a fair shot at being ranked. It's not perfect, but such is life when every league plays at a different time. Biggest Movers: 4 teams moved up 1 Spot Biggest Losers: LA Wolves, UPSL, Orange County FC, NPSL - 1 Spot New Comer: AFC Ann Arbor, NPSL, Kingston Stockade FC, NPSL Lost Spot: FC Greeley, UPSL, Orange County FC, NPSL
The AP Regional Rankings are taking a more solid shape at the top, but at the bottom we see new teams beginning to stake their claim to a Top 10 spot, as dominant starts for Gaffa FC and Milwaukee Bavarians see these teams make their debut, while Seattle Stars make a triumphant return and claim Number 6.

"The problem really lies way deeper in the process and culture as a whole than simply finding the players." Today's interview is brought to you by SoccerElf.com. SoccerElf.com is a brand new website dedicated to helping people all across the United States find the nearest pick up soccer game. If you can't find one near you, guess what? You can create one. Right now, it's still in the early stages, so AP has partnered with them to help get the word out, get more people on the site, and get more games going everywhere! The more chances to play, the more people will play. And the more people who play, the more the game grows.
Hello and welcome AP Readers! I'm starting something a little new today that I hope improves your reading experience here. Since our interviews vary in length and detail, (Anybody remember our 2 Part interview with the Rhode Island Reds?) I'm going to let you know up front a rough estimate of the reading time for the interview. That way you know how much to commit in one sitting, or throughout the day. This interview, based on average reading ability, should take between 5-7 minutes to read beginning to end. Also, if you haven't noticed, we've revamped our standings bar. You can now view standings for 20+ leagues from around the country, broken down by region, from Hawaii to New England. You should totally check it out. Click a league, and it will take you to the leagues website in a new tab. Hopefully this helps drive up these leagues web traffic, which will make them easier for people to find, so do them a solid and check them out. Now, PJ Harrison and I emailed back and forth over a couple of weeks regarding the vision and motivation behind this new NPSL club, City of Angels FC. Due to the time difference, it's a little shorter than you might be used, but plenty worth the read. Check it out. After one week off for Memorial Day, the Power Rankings return, covering results from the last two weekends of USASA Elite League play. A PDL team makes it's debut, and dominance from the Top 4 means all the change in the National Rankings is at the bottom this week.
Biggest Movers: Orange County FC, NPSL, 3 Spots Biggest Losers: Riverside Coras, NPSL, 2 Spots New Comer: FC Golden State Force, PDL Lost Spot: AFC Ann Arbor, NPSL
Lots of changes in the Regional Power Rankings. The United Soccer League of Pennsylvania and SoCal Premier League have wrapped up their current seasons, and as such, their teams are no longer in the current incarnation of the Regional Power Rankings, pending the start of the new season. They will be removed and become eligible for the End of Year Regional Power Rankings instead. What does this mean? A ton of changes in the Regional Rankings. The Gulf Coast Premier League and Premier League of America debut teams, NLS Graduates claim Number 1 with several teams right behind them.
