This time round, we take a trip out to the North East, and visit the mysterious “Rob”. The Yard Dogs are a newly formed, some would say still embryonic, SG following the newly formed, some would also say embryonic, Elm City Express.

This chat with Tyler West, President of the Gem City Squadron, SG of Dayton Dynamo, is a bit of a departure from your usual APB fare. Rather than talking to club owners, I thought I might set my sights on those hardy souls who support lower league football in the States.
If you like what Tyler has to say, give him a follow @gemcitysquadron, and keep an eye on the Dynamo themselves @daytondynamo "If travelling from out of state, bring a local craft beer with you to give as a thank you" Today's interview is brought to you by LeagueApps. This chat with Mark Cole, President of the East End Army, coming out of Bethlehem Steel, is a bit of a departure from your usual APB fayre. Rather than talking to club owners, I thought I might set my sights on those hardy souls who support lower league football in the States. And in that case, where better to start than the home of soccer in the US, the place where it all started (I’m saying this like it was a plan. As you will see when you read on, this is absolute blind luck!) If you like what Mark has to say, give him a follow @eastendarmysg, and keep an eye on the Steel themselves @bsteelfc Today's Interview is brought to you by Rabble.tv. Rabble.TV is the future. This chat with John Hall of Shockers SC may go a little beyond my brief here. By John’s own admission, Shockers are purely a recreational concern, albeit one which all involved take very seriously. Such dedication has clearly paid dividends, as Shockers have long been a dominant force within their indoor league.
I wanted to speak with John because I felt his experience of soccer within America is a lot closer to that of many of APB’s readership. A fan who plays a bit, and got together with his buddies to make sure it remained fun. It’s not a great deal different from what the guys over at Bearfight or Providence City have done. So I was keen to see how the land lies from the absolute bottom of the pyramid (no offence John!) So if you’re reading this hoping for a @dens -like breakdown on the goings on at an aspirational non league club, you might want to skip this one. But if you want to feel like your experiences are being shared across the country, read on! |
