Some big news for soccer earlier this week, the potential first round match ups for USL teams in the Open Cup just came out, and there are some great potential match ups. Kingston Stockade could host Louisville City, FC Cincinnati vs Detroit City in Ohio, and Sacramento Republic vs San Francisco City could all happen. Let's hope that they do! Today's interview is a first. No, it's not the first club I've interviewed from California. It's the first club I've interviewed that has won promotion in the UPSL. Lionside FC stormed through the Championship Conference last season, setting a record for goals scored and points total. Currently they are dealing with the adjustment to playing a division higher, and have 2 points through 3 games, sitting 1 point clear of relegation.
