We've got some changes in this weeks Power Rankings! We still have the same UPSL Number 1, Coyotes FC, despite their bye week for cup competition. Although after seeing Cal United's now mind boggling Goal Differential of +49, they almost lost top spot. As it is, the UPSL has seen Lowcountry and Cal United swap places, Cal Victory holds steady at 4 after a loss, and Florida Soccer Soldiers debut at Number 5 after C-Ville's loss over the weekend.
Now the NPSL. Not sure what happened, but apparently no one at the league office decided to update standings as of this morning, so nothing has changed here.
Feedback and input is always appreciated to make sure this is the best Power Rankings possible, so sound off in the comments and in your retweets and lets work together to make this special!

It's a little late, but Week 3 of the Power Rankings is now up and ready ahead of this week's league play! A quick update on the blog. Since summer is the busy time for teams, interviews are going to be fewer and further apart. I've got three interviews just sitting there, waiting for teams to respond so they can be finished. So, we're going to simply do the best we can over the summer, and ramp back up in the fall. Now, as more conferences/divisions in the UPSL and NPSL begin play, you'll notice some teams might be dropped off, despite good records. There are two reasons for that. One, some teams will wrap up their seasons ahead of others. Two, if I don't, both the UPSL and NPSL Top 5 will remain incredibly west coast heavy, and I want to avoid that. That means we have some debutantes! C-Ville FC makes their first appearance at Number 5 in the UPSL, while Miami United FC debuts at Number 5 for the NPSL. The NPSL Top 5 has seen a lot of changes, with CD Aguiluchos dropping from 1 to 3, and everyone else moving up a spot, which means El Farolito is your new NPSL Number 1!
Feedback and input is always appreciated to make sure this is getting done as well as possible, so sound off in the comments and in your retweets and lets work together to make this special! It's Week 2 of the AP Power Rankings, and we've got a few changes. Not a lot this early in the season, but we have some. In the UPSL, Coyotes FC hold on to the Number 1 spot, while Lowcountry United and California United have swapped places, with Lowcountry moving up to Number 2. On the NPSL side, there have been a lot of changes. ASC San Diego, courtesy of week off, have fallen to Number 5, while CD Aguiluchos have taken Number 1 from El Farolito.

Hello everyone and welcome to AP for a US Open Cup Special! Every year, I try to interview a team competing in the US Open Cup and do an early release ahead of their game to drum up more interest. This year, that special is with Tim Marchisotto of Sporting AZ FC. He talks about the teams long history and roots in the old Arizona Sahuaros, and how they hope to change Arizona soccer for the better. Check it out. |
