With the recent court hearings between NASL and USSF wrapped up, and the outcome being less than positive for the NASL, there has been a growing call for the NASL teams to join forces with the National Independent Soccer Association, or NISA.
The big question is, what would something like that really look like? Fortunately for you, I did some quick work and laid it out for you! NISA 2018 Launch
A 25 team D3 made up of these teams is nothing to laugh at. Per some excellent work on Midfield Press, here's a look at the likely NASL/NISA Candidates for 2019. Remember, Chattanooga has already said they are waiting for 2019.
That's a 26 team league by next year. You could easily keep building NISA from this point and wait until 2020 to start a D2, or you could take the top 8 to 10 teams in the league and launch a new D2, while still leaving 16 teams in your D3. Lots of possibilities here. Anyway, what do you think? Possible? Impossible? |
